So I made the trek back to the island on Sunday, bright and early, even though I was tired and it was raining. The second day of the festival, much like the first, wasn’t exactly packed with bands I really wanted to see, but I ended up having a great time once the rain stopped. Once again, here are some photos:
It rained for a few hours early on, but they gave people ponchos.
The Weakerthans were one of the highlights of the day, they had a big crowd.
Overall, it was a fun weekend. Those Virgin Mobile folks ain’t bad!

So I got to go to Virgin Festival for free ’cause I’m “media.” Alright, so this was my first Virgin Festival, and it was pretty fun. I made the mistake of wearing a t-shirt and shorts, forgetting how damn cold it gets by the lake. I also wore sandals, which wasn’t a bad idea until they broke halfway through the day. Anyway, here are some photo highlights care of my shitty-ass digital camera:
When this tanned guy showed up everyone lost their shit.
I took the VIP Ferry to the island with Mos Def.
At least I got to see the Constantines (my favourite band).
I’m happy to say the only money I spent was for the subway there and back. Everything was overpriced on the island and I’m happy I got lots of free food and coffee. Thank you Virgin Mobile. The night ended with Dave Grohl bodyslamming me off stage.
